Welcome to Empty Arms of Erie

Empty Arms of Erie (Emptyarmserie.org) is a non-denominational local support group of parents who meet regularly to provide the time and place for parents to come and help resolve the feelings they have about infants they have lost.  The goal of Empty Arms is to share experiences, give and receive emotional support, and resolve grief.

This group has been  a vehicle to enable parents to share what they are feeling with no pressure to speak until they are ready.  The atmosphere of acceptance allows parents to talk about their loss and comfort is fostered knowing that others have shared similar experiences and feelings.  Many who have joined the group expressed the thoughts that they wish they had attended sooner, because the love and support they received made such a profound difference.  Everyone's experience is unique and valid and the Empty Arms Support Group is available to assist families whenever the timing feels right for each individual.

Empty Arms is a support group for parents who have had a miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy,  stillbirth, or an infant die before coming home from the hospital as well as providing support for parents who have incurred the loss of a child within the first year of birth.  We meet the second Tuesday of each month from 7:30 PM until 9:30 PM at the Liberty Family Practice Office, 3413 Cherry Street, Erie, PA 16509.

Empty Arms hopes you will join us. It helps to know you’re not the only one experiencing the things you feel.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us anytime.  We’re here to help you.
